The only Temple with Varahi devi Sannidhanam
Dear Devotees,
On the occasion of Shukla Paksha Panchami, we welcome you to attend Sri Varahi Devi Panchambruta Abhishekam, Sri Maha Meru Abhisheka, Sri Lalitha Shahasranama Parayana, Archana, Aarthi.
Significance of the Panchami thithi and performing Puja
Varahi Devi (one of the Sapta Matrikas and a powerful aspect of the Divine Mother) is strongly associated with Shakti sadhana and tantric worship. Panchami tithi (the 5th lunar day) is considered especially auspicious for her for several reasons:
1. Varahi and Panchami Connection
•In the tantric and Devi traditions, Shukla Panchami (the 5th day of the waxing moon) and sometimes Krishna Panchami are considered days of Shakti upasana.
•Panchami tithi carries the energy of expansion and manifestation, which aligns with Varahi’s role as the embodiment of supreme protection, victory, and transformation.
•Scriptures say Varahi worship on Panchami grants instant blessings compared to other days.
2. Varahi as Commander of the Goddess
•Varahi is described as the commander-in-chief of Lalita Tripurasundari’s army in the Lalita Sahasranama tradition (Sri Vidya).
•Just as armies set forth at auspicious times, Panchami is symbolically seen as her “mobilization day”, making worship then very potent.
3. Astrological Significance
•Panchami tithi is ruled by Naga devatas (serpent deities), and Varahi is considered to have a connection to serpentine energies and the underworld powers. This enhances her ability to remove hidden obstacles, black magic, and unseen dangers when worshipped on this day.
4. Benefits of Panchami Puja to Varahi
Performing puja on Panchami is believed to:
•Grant victory over enemies and protection from evil forces.
•Bestow wealth, stability, and authority.
•Remove fear, anxiety, and bad dreams.
•Enhance spiritual growth and open the path for Sri Vidya sadhana.
