We welcome you to attend Arudra Darshana.
Arudra Darshan is one of the most auspicious days associated with Lord Shiva. It is dedicated to the cosmic dance of Shiva.
The cosmic dance of Lord Shiva represents five activities – Creation, Protection, Destruction, Embodiment and Release. In essence, it represents the continuous cycle of creation and destruction. This cosmic dance takes place in every particle and is the source of all energy. Arudra Darshan celebrates this ecstatic dance of Lord Shiva.
Schedule:
10 AM: Panchambrutha Natraja Swamy Abhisheka, Archana, Aarti
10 AM – 4 PM: Thikkettum Thiruvasagam Chanting on the occasion of Arudra Darshana. Chanting will be done by Atlanta Samarpanam.
Thiruvasagam is a collection of poems Praising Lord Shiva by the great Saint Manikkavasagar. As the name implies Saivites consider this book a treasure. Panniru Thirumurai is the collection of twelve holy scriptures written by seven marvelous devotees in Tamil Language. Thiruvasagam is part of those 12 books.
